There’s early and then there’s 9am on a Sunday, but what better reason is there to be up at this ridiculous hour than to attend London Fashion Week? I decide that today is probably the best day to wear my heels as we were only scheduled for one show, and I wouldn't have to do too much standing around.
As I approach reception I'm glad to see we’re back in the same room as Day 1, “Heaven’s Reception” as one of the interns had nicknamed it due to the white minimalistic theme that runs throughout the room. Today was the Mercedes Benz Kiev Fashion Days show, which meant that instead of seeing one designers’ collection we would view different designers’ collection in one show. This show turned out to be a close second favourite of mine as I loved the designs particularly from RCR Khomenko and Yasya Minochkina).
Minochkina’s collection was undoubtedly my favourite from the whole show. I have personally always loved the trends and style from the 80/90’s and Yasya Minochkina managed to incorporate this into her collection whilst maintaining femininity throughout all of her designs. In an interview with Fashion Scout in February Yasya stated ‘I feel fashion and I do everything myself.’ This is clearly shown throughout her collection as there is a timeless elegance and class which runs throughout however it still brings an edge with the 90’s oversized clothing that is shown in many of the outfits from the collection.
The show also had an amazing soundtrack which unfortunately I'm unable share on this post as I didn't record the show on my phone, however I was able to get a decent place to take photographs of my favourite designers’ collections.
